History

March 1936 Company is founded by Saichi Hanya in Fukue-cho, Showa-ku, Nagoya, to manufacture and sell bicycle parts.
December 1949 Company is incorporated as Hanya Ironworks.
October 1951 Management rationalization and technological improvements lead the company to receive awards from both the Director-General of the Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Agency and the governor of Aichi.
May 1960 Joins Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Nagoya Automobile Factory as a partner plant. Business transition to create integrated production facilities for pressing, welding, cutting, painting, machining, and assembly.
August 1967 Builds a plant at 13-3 Oshima, Kitasaki-cho, Obu City.
April 1968 Company name changes to Hanya Seisakusho Co., Ltd..
May 1970 Begins production of parts for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' car cooler.
April 1977 Designated by the Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Agency as a Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Rationalization Model Factory.
December 1977 Headquarters moves to 13-3 Oshima, Kitasaki-cho, Obu City.
March 1979 Saichi Hanya becomes chairman of the board and Masahiro Hanya is named president and CEO.
May 1980 Begins production of airplane body panels for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Nagoya Aircraft Factory.
December 1983 半 Builds Kinuura Plant in 2-7 Sunosaki-cho, Handa City (Phase One: Jigs and tools, 669.71 square meters)
May 1985 Receives Worker Safety Promotion Award from the Aichi Labor Standards Bureau.
July 1985 Begins production of vibration damping metal fittings for Tokai Rubber Industries, Ltd.
December 1985 Completes 2nd-phase expansion of the Kinuura Plant (Phase Two: Pressing, 1935.34 square meters)
October 1987 Begins production of automobile parts for Pajero Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
March 1988 Completes 3rd-phase expansion of the Kinuura Plant (Phase Three: Machining, 1607.22 square meters)
June 1988 Acquires 9,967 square meters of land adjacent to the Kinuura Plant.
December 1989 Saichi Hanya resigns his position as chairman of the board to take on an advisory role.
March 1990 Completes 4th-phase expansion of the Kinuura Plant (Phase Four: Welding, 1197.72 square meters)
November 1991 Builds a 150 t press robot line in the Kinuura Plant.
March 1992 Builds a 800 t transfer press in the Kinuura Plant.
December 1993 Builds an aluminum BKT cutting line in the Obu Plant.
March 1994 As a Medium Sized Enterprise Rationalization Model Factory, receives award from the Minister of International Trade and Industry for management rationalization.
January 1996 Begins production of automobile parts for Denso Corporation.
May 1998 Builds a 600 t press in the Kinuura Plant.
May 1998 Automates tandem press line, 600 t to 300 t presses in the Kinuura Plant.
July 1998 Completes 5th-phase expansion of the Kinuura Plant (Phase Five: New plant, 3135.03 square meters)
March 2002 Builds new Kinuura pressing plant, with 800 t, 600 t, and two 500 t presses.
November 2002 Acquires ISO 14001 certification.
May 2004 Acquires ISO 9001 certification.
November 2005 Land leased at 2-160 Sunosaki-cho, Handa City for the third Kinuura Plant.
June 2008 Masahiro Hanya becomes chairman of the board and Shinichiro Hanya is named president and CEO.
December 2008 Recognized as an Aichi Quality Company.
February 2009 Registers Carbon Reduction Manifesto with Aichi Prefecture.
February 2010 Recognized as a Certified IT Management Company.
February 2011 Receives First Prize and Special Prize in the IT Management Awards for Small and Medium Enterprises.
December 2011 Establishes Changsha Pacific Hanya Auto Parts Co., Ltd (CPH).
December 2011 Receives Award for TPM Excellence, Category B.
December 2012 Receives recognition under the Aichi CO2 Reduction Manifesto program.
